Casing shoes are mostly applied during hole opening at the start of drilling. The casing shoes can make the hole opening more smoothly and they can be selected by the soil properties and thickness of the cover layer.
Casing shoes can be divided into diamond & TC types for different requirements to position casing tubes into drill holes.
